To use Linux on an apple (powerpc processor or ppc): install the ppc version of debian (ppc version of ubuntu / kubuntu ended in 2008-04... so now it would be an old version) iso images for ppc are available in http://cdimage.debian. org/debian-cd/4.0_r3/powerpc/iso-cd/

NB: to have wifi running properly on an Apple G4 you need a 2.6.24 kernel and above...

To read NTFS (partition type 07) Linux: add the module "NTFS-3G with modconf or modprobe.

To read ext2 or ext3 (partition type 83) with Microsoft Windows: install utility "Ext2 Installable File System for Windows" (freeware) to download a http://fs-driver.org/.

To read ext2 or ext3 (partition type 83) in Mac OS: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ext2fsx/
